Shouting about our successes

With hundreds of potential businesses coming to us every month to see if we can help, its only right that we shout about them when they are up and running. These people all wanted to work for themselves and this is how they did it.

Some of our current support programmes:

New Enterprise Allowance (NEA)

A4e are the lead partner for NEA in Wales, Birmingham & Solihull and the West of Scotland. The New Enterprise Allowance gives people who are 6-12 months unemployed and claiming Job Seekers Allowance the chance to work with a mentor to take their idea and turn it into a viable business. As well as mentoring support, NEA also offers a grant, access to a loan fund and ongoing support from a mentor during the early months of trading.

The Work Programme

A4e’s team of Enterprise Coaches provide one-to-one support for our Work Programme customers to consider self-employment as a viable alternative to employment through workshops and 1:1 sessions.

Middlesbrough Enterprise Gateway

A4e provides one-to-one support across Middlesbrough for individuals wanting to start their own business.  Our service has been tailored to meet the needs of residents in disadvantaged communities and specifically targets individuals who traditionally have not previously considered self-employment. These groups include women, BME communities and the over-50s.

Once a business has commenced trading our Coaches will maintain regular contact with each business and continue to provide information, help and guidance during the first year of trading.

Enterprise GY
