Construction Sector

Sourcing good, local talent is a challenge that construction companies frequently find themselves trying to overcome. A4e works in partnership with construction employers, regionally and nationally, to address local workforce issues by delivering industry recognised accreditation prior and during employment.

At A4e we ‘listen’ to your requirements, and work together to identify the right people to support the timely and economical delivery of build projects.

Our pre-employment training programmes equip people with the essential skills they need to work within the construction sector. We provide a range of appropriate services from the provision of essential safety equipment and achievement of safety accreditation, right through to the delivery of recognised vocational qualifications for trades such as joinery and bricklaying.

We recognise that no one employer has the same need, therefore each pre-employment programme is tailored individually. However examples of content could include:

  • CSCS
  • Vehicle Banksman Training
  • Cable Avoidance
  • Safe Working at Heights
  • Safety equipment provision
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid & Fire Marshalling

Our more intensive courses deliver specific City & Guild qualifications to learners. The A4e tutors all have practical experience of working in the sector.

We are committed to working with the construction sector to narrow the skills gap which currently exists across the UK. The creation of our innovative alternative ‘Vox’ learning centres provides construction training to the next generation of apprenticeships and sector professionals. Find out more about our Vox centres.
