Sustainable Development is the relatively simple idea of ensuring a better quality of life for everyone, both now and for future generations. Our mission statement ‘Improving people’s lives’ encapsulates this.
As a Social purpose company it is core to our existence that we are socially responsible. It is important to us that we are effectively managing all of our impacts ensuring that we are reducing our negative impacts and increasing our positive ones.
Our approach to Sustainable Development ensures that we are meeting our contractual and legal requirements and adopting an approach that allows us to continuously improve our activities.
We have analysed our Sustainable Development aspects and impacts and identified the following eight areas as our main areas of focus:
