Connect to Work

Connect to Work is a voluntary programme to help people on sickness or disability- related benefits make the move into work.

Connect to Work is completely tailored to fit your own personal needs, so there is no pre-set route through the programme.

Instead, we talk to you about your own situation, look at what’s holding you back, and find out what your job goals are. Then together we will help you work towards achieving those goals.

We’ll support you by:

  • Agreeing an action plan to help you find suitable work
  • Providing one-to-one support
  • Giving you access to the latest job vacancies in your area, and helping you with your job search
  • Calculating how much better off in work you could be
  • Helping you to manage your health condition
  • Providing training to help you build up your confidence and work skills
  • Supporting you for up to a year once you’ve found work - if you feel you need it
You could even receive a payment of up to £200 to help you settle into your new working life.

A4e delivers Connect to Work in the following areas:

  • Cumbria
  • Glasgow
  • Greater Manchester Central
  • Greater Mersey
  • Lancashire
  • Northumbria
  • South Yorkshire
  • South Wales Valleys
  • South West Wales

If you don’t live in these areas we can still help you find the support you need.
