New Deal

A4e works with Jobcentre Plus to deliver New Deal programmes that are designed to get you ready for work.

How can New Deal help me?

Every individual who joins the programme is given individually tailored support to find the right job.  With New Deal you will have access to:

  • A personal advisor providing one-to-one support
  • Expert job-hunting advice, including how to write a CV, search for jobs, and prepare for interviews
  • In-work benefit calculations to measure how much extra money you will have in employment when you come off benefits
  • Financial assistance, including travel expenses, purchasing of clothing for interviews
  • Continuing in-work support for as long as you need it

Am I eligible?

If you have been claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance for a while, you may be referred to A4e by Jobcentre Plus for additional support.  However, you may be referred earlier if you fit the following categories:

  • You have a disability
  • English is not your first language
  • You do not currently have a permanent home
  • You are a refugee
  • You are recovering from alcohol or drug addiction
  • You have been affected by large scale redundancy
  • You have recently left the Armed Forces

How do I find out more?

To find out more, contact your local A4e New Deal office, or visit the New Deal website. You can also watch the New Deal video for more information

Don’t worry - your benefits will NOT be affected while you are working with us.
