SOUTH WEST NETWORKING EVENT BITES BACK

A joint business networking event is being held by A4e and Premier Inn to help local firms develop opportunities in the South West area - with plans to stage other events across the West Country during the summer. The first of the series will start in Plymouth at the Premier Inn on Lockyer's Quay, dated the 6th July, at 9.00 am until 11.00 am. The events will be FREE with breakfasts included. 
 

The Editor of the Herald Bill Martin will be giving a presentation in support of the Plymouth Bites Back Campaign with the Leader of Plymouth City Council Vivien Pengelly opening the event with brief presentations from A4e and Premier Inn. This unique joint partnership is a first and we hope to hold similar events in Exeter, Taunton, Bristol, Gloucester and Swindon, said Kevin Kelway, media spokesman for A4e South West.

Companies already agreed to attend include; Plymouth City Council, Job Centre Plus, NDC, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, Tomorrow’s People, Everest, Frontline Recruitment, Fuel Communications, DRC, Jigsaw Events, Euro Lifts, The Una Group, Love & Marriage, Design Inspirations, Dan Bramwell Associates, and forty other city businesses.

Carol Boyd, Business Manager for A4e Plymouth Works Plus, commented: “This is a REAL opportunity for businesses in the Plymouth area to get together and network. But also, join A4e’s unique membership programme which will enable them to access future events across the city FREE of charge. Local firms can access other A4e services which includes; work placements, work trials, FREE recruitment service when they expand, and utilise our vocational and training programmes funded by the European Social Fund and the Department of Works and Pensions.”
