How we help
Only by taking risks, by exploring new avenues and by integrating and joining up seemingly disparate areas of service delivery can real progress be made.
Twenty years ago, A4e lifted people out of poverty in Sheffield by helping ex-steel workers re-train and find jobs in the new, emerging service industry. Today, A4e delivers a much wider range of front line public services on a global basis.
We are interested not only in the impact we can have with individuals, but the impact we can have in delivering better quality, more efficient and effective public services. This means:
- services delivered at scale
- that deliver better value for money
- that reduce the need for state control
- that are better able to meet the fast evolving needs of consumers
How? We work with governments to develop services that tackle different but related causes of poverty; causes that on their own are challenging, combined they are catastrophic for individuals and communities.
Our work brings together the public service reform agenda and the poverty agenda. This is perhaps what makes A4e so different. We bridge the gap between think tank, consultancy and provider.
