Lynn Townend

Lynn was unemployed for 20 years before she started on an Elevate (lone parents) course with A4e; her confidence was low and Lynn felt she needed support to regain her self esteem. Initially Lynn attended the Programme Centre with A4e but unfortunately she didn’t find work on that occasion but she was determined to find employment and requested to join an A4e Elevate course.

Lynn welcomed the training the course offers and she received support with CV preparation and interview techniques, which Lynn believes helped her when she was invited to an interview with Rossmore Nursing Home. Because of the training she received and the encouragement from her tutors and peers, Lynn felt less nervous and more prepared for the interview and consequently was offered the post.

Ashley (A4e recruiter) sourced the vacancy with Rossmore Nursing Home and put Lynn forward for an interview; Lynn was offered a 20 hour per week post and is looking forward to starting her new job; she believes her confidence has soared since she started on the A4e course and is looking forward to being employed.
